Woman Spots Barefoot Girl Alone on Highway, THEN Realizes Her Mom's Car Wreck is Behind Her

This heartbreaking story entails a woman noticing a little girl and witnessing a horrible car accident that involved the girl's mother.

#1 Sleepy Driver

It was just another day driving around her two children when Angela Shymanski noticed herself falling asleep at the wheel. She was driving with her 5-year-old daughter, Lexi, and her 10-week old son Peter. When her eyes closed again...things took a literal turn for the worst...

#2 40 Foot Drop

She fell asleep at a point in the Canadian Rockies where there was a 40 foot dip into a ditch towards the right. The fall was so serious that Angela broke her back and knocked her out completely!

Hero 5-Year-Old #3

As for the little girl, Lexi, she was strapped into her car seat and managed to become a hero. She unbuckled her car seat, trekked up the woody hill BAREFOOT and went to the side of the road to call for help.

Happy Ending #4

Sure enough, two drivers stopped and went to check on the little girl. Paramedics came and took the mother to the hospital where she recovered and is incredibly thankful that her daughter had quick instincts. "When I look at her, she's the reason I'm alive, and my baby's alive, and our family's together," she said with tears in her eyes.
